Lexi is not just another senior in front of my camera, I have known her family for over 20 years now. Her old sister happens to be one of my best and closest friends. So naturally, I was extra excited when they asked me to take her senior portraits. We did Lexi’s senior photoshoot in Downtown Detroit. I love this city, I’ve said it a bazillion times and I’ll keep saying it. We had such a blast and I’m so pumped to share it with you!
THE NEW RSP BRAND. Its been a long time coming. I started this journey not knowing what to expect or how much it would really force me to evaluate myself personally and professionally. It’s been a labor of love and without a doubt, one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
I can’t wait to give you a glimpse of how we got here. The process, the fear, the excitement and the unexpected new outlook I have for myself and my business. It’s as personal as it gets.
I don’t even know where to start! The minute that Kaitlyn emailed me I could feel her excitement through my computer screen. She’s one of those awesome people who knows exactly what she was looking for and photography was on the top of her priority list. She had seen some work I had done before on Michigan State campus and she knew that she HAD to have their engagement session there. Both she and Garrett are MSU graduates and they are also high school sweethearts. When they came to meet with us we knew INSTANTLY that it was meant to be. “THESE ARE SO MY PEOPLE” were my exact words to Rob the second they left our consultation.I had my fingers crossed the rest of the night that they would choose me to be their photographer. I did that whole “please let them like me, please let them like me” photographer prayer and in the morning… my wish had been granted! (HA! I know, I’m being dramatic, BUT IT’S REALLY HOW I FEEL, YOU GUYS!) I was greeted by one of the best e-mails ever, Kaitlyn telling me that the second they walked out the door they knew they had to have us.
