Detroit Michigan Wedding Photographer
I am so excited to finally be sharing Alex + Nikki’s gorgeous wedding! I loved everything about their day, the locations, the details, and a ton of laughs.
We started out at the Atheneum Hotel in Downtown Detroit where they got ready with their closest friends and family. The guys hung out and had a few beers while us girls had mimosas and got pretty! Well, they did… I took pictures đ
Then it was time for their first look! Oh how I love a first look. I know it’s not for every couple and no matter whether a couple decides to see eachother before their ceremony or not is completely up to them, BUT… c’mon, how adorable is this? I am in love with their love. Alex’s excitement to see Nikki and the laughter they have when he turns around is so awesome and I wish I could photograph them every day.
After they spent a few moments alone to soak it all in, we gathered the troops and headed down to some of my favorite little spots. Detroit has so much to offer and it’s hands down my favorite place to photograph weddings. The colors they chose for their bridal party popped so beautifully against the colors of the city backdrop.
The Compuware building in Campus Martius is breathtaking inside. I absolutely love the vibe in the lobby and since it was SO COLD that day, we all needed a bit of a warm up. We decided to grab a few more shots of Alex and Nikki along with their wedding party and it was the perfect spot to get rid of the chills before heading back for their ceremony. They turned out to be some of my favorite images from their wedding day.
These two tied the knot at The White House Wedding Chapel. I loved watching Alex’s expression as he watched Nikki come down the staircase with her dad. They giggled and laughed through their vows and we all cracked up with them. It was lighthearted and heartfelt all at the same time, it was perfect.
Their reception was held at Sycamore Hills and the details were gorgeous! Nikki, being the fantastic event coordinator she is, planned the majority of her wedding herself, everything was stunning.
Alex + Nikki – Thank you for choosing me as your photographer, I feel so lucky that I could be there to be a part of your big day. It was a total blast and your families are incredible. It’s a wedding I will never forget, I can’t wait to see what the future holds! Cheers!
